Isaiah H. Harry

  Isaiah H. Harry, well known and prominent merchant of Falls Mills, died Monday in a Bluefield hospital of pneumonia following an illness of ten days.  He was 71 years of age.  He was a pioneer merchant of Falls Mills and church leader of his community.  Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Falls Mills Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. E. W Dean, assisted by Rev. G. W. Collins and Rev. F. B Jackson and Rev. E. T. Gilmer. Before entering business for himself Mr. Harry worked for the Walton Construction company for a number of years.  He was twice married, his first wife being Miss Meldora Tabor, of Taszewell county, whom he married sept. 10, 1885.  His second wife, who survives was Mrs. Minnie Burton.  They were married November 4, 1920.  Mr. Harry was a Mason and a Shriner and a member of the board of stewarts of the Falls Mills M. E. church.  He is survived by two brothers, James Harry, of West Graham, and Charles Harry, of Roanoke, and by the following children by his first marriage: Arthur S. Harry, Ashland, Ky; John B. Harry, Princeton, WV; Roby J. Harry, Salem Va; Walter C. Harry, Pocahontas; Clarence M. Harry, Pocahontas; Marion Harry, Falls Mills; Mrs. W. W. Thompson, Miss Mary Harry and Mrs. Lawrence Mahood, both of Columbus, Ohio.
