Explanation of Color Coding

For persons with joint headstones, the entries have been shaded the same color.  For example, Agnes A. & Henry T. Odham have a shared headstone.

**Note about top three entries

The entries for Alexander Proffitt, Mary Alice Gray Gilbert Proffitt and James Bernard Proffitt are taken from the family records.   Surviving family members still living in the Pocahontas area have record of the burials in this cemetery.  Also, notes from the local funeral home show that these three persons were buried in this cemetery.  Later this year, hand-made wooden markers will be placed at each of the burial locations.  If you are researching these individuals, or others with the Proffitt surname, please contact me.
