Thomas M. Harris, 83, Angus Arms Apartments in Fayetteville W. Va., died Wednesday at Lincoln Co Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.  Gravesite services will be held Saturday at Sunset Mausoleum in Beckley,
W. Va. Ralston-Lee Funeral in Fayetteville is in charge.  Harris, a native of Tazewell Co Va , was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Milton Harris.  He had lived in Fayetteville since the early 1950s.  He was a World War 1 veteran and member of American Legion Towry Post 42 in Fayetteville.  He was a former city councilman in Richlands, Va.  While residing in Beckley, W. Va he served as finance officer of American Legion Raleigh County Post 32 and on the Board of Deacons of the First Baptist Church there.  Harris was past master of Richlands Va   Masonic Lodge 318 and a member of Beckley Mosonic Lodge 95 in Beckley W. Va.  He served as high priest of Beckley Chapter 38 of the Royal Arch Masons and was a member of the Mount Hope Commandery 22 Knights Templar in Mount Hope W. Va.  He was also a member of the Bene Kedam Shrine in
Charleston, W. Va.  Harris is survived by his wife Mrs. Maude E Harris of Fayetteville, a daughter Mrs. Phillip Kappas of Fort Thomas, Ky; two sons Roy B Harris of Fayetteville and Harold Thomas Harris of Dayton, Ohio.

Thomas Milton Harris was born 16 July 1895 in Pounding Mill, Tazewell Co Va. to Milton Harris and wife Elizabeth Thomas Harris.  He died 21 Feb 1979.  He married Maude E. Wyatt on 29 July 1922 in Ironton, Ohio.
