Charlie Washington Steele was born on 1 Jan 1894

Tazewell County, Virginia. Son of George Elbert and Watie Catherine Horn
Steele, was of Irish and Indian descent. Charlie was an ordained Methodist
Minister.
On 1 April 1915, he married Mary Ellen Ferrell,
daughter of Richard Larkin and Rachel Nash Ferrell in Marvin, Buchanan
County, Virginia. Mary was born 15 Feb 1886 in Tazewell County, Virginia
and died on 26 Dec 1955 in Paintlick, Tazewell County, Virginia.
Charlie and Mary resided at Paintlick, Tazewell
County, Virginia, most of their married life but also lived in McComas,
West Virginia, for short time.
