Will of Fernandis Lowe

In the name of God, Amen: I, Fernandis Lowe of Cedar Bluff, Va. R.F.D. No. 1, In Tazewell County, Virginia do make this my last will and testament as follows:

1. I give and bequeath unto my wife, Serepta Ann Lowe and my son William Blake Lowe, all my cows and other cattle to be divided equally between them.

2. I give and devise unto my son William Blake Lowe all my sheep.

3. I give, bequeath, and devise unto my beloved wife, Serepta Ann Lowe, full controll of all my real estate to controll during her life time and to be distributed as follows at her death.

4. I give and devise unto my sons, William Blake Lowe, Twenty five acres of land including the homeplace, to be laid off by a line starting in the Lawrence Lowe line south east of the dwelling and running in a westerly diresction to George West's line, then northward to Rex E. Steele's line then
with the said Steele's line to the Lawrence lowe line and to the beginning corner said boundry to contain Twenty five acres.

5. I give and bequeath unto my daughter, Lena Mae Lowe, twenty acres of land lying just south of and adjacent to the tract above described.

6. I give and bequeath unto my son, James Lindsey Lowe and my two daughters, Ruth Arminda Allison and Lula Mae Kitts, the remainder of my real estate to be divided equally between them.

I appoint my said wife, Serepta Ann Lowe, executor of this my will, and desire that no security be required of he as such.

7. I hereby revoke all previous wills and codicils heretofore made by me.

Witness my hand, this 25th day of October, 1934.

NOTE:

Fernandis Lowe was the son of James Hurst/Lowe and Ruth Christian Lowe and the grandson of unknown
Hurst/Lowe (?) and Mastin and Jane Christian.
Serepta Ann was the daughter of Jackson and Charlotte Reed.
They were married May 2, 1883 in Tazewell County, Virginia
